WorldSBK testing comes into focus today and tomorrow with an Official two days of action in Barcelona which will see Chaz Davies get his first laps with GoEleven Ducati.

The Welsh rider goes into his tenth season in World Superbike, but first since 2014 where he won’t be in the factory Ducati team.

Davies is a three-time championship runner-up to Jonathan Rea, and has been one of the most consistent riders in the series’ history.

Davies sits seventh on the all time winners list with 32 wins, but was replaced by Michael Ruben-Rinaldi for the 2021 campaign.

It has not been the smoothest pre-season so far for the 34 year-old who recently had Covid-19, but Davies has since made a full recovery ahead of the Official test.

Speaking ahead of his first action with Team GoEleven Ducati, Davies said: "Finally, I will get the opportunity to join up with Go Eleven in this circuit.

"It has been a long awaited debut with the new Team, but it looks like we are there! I recovered from Covid, so we can certainly make our first steps on track.

"For the test itself, obviously, after a long time not riding the bike the objectives are quite basic and simple.

"I just need to ride again, to recover the feeling and I think just enjoy the two days, enjoy working with my new crew and nothing really more than that.

"There are no parts really to test, so basically we just have to start the new season."
