Bradley Perie and Harry Truelove have joined four-time Quattro Group British Supersport champions Appleyard Macadam Yamaha for the 2022 season.

Both riders are no stranger to the Yamaha YZF-R6 that they will compete with as Perie joined the team last season, while Truelove has competed on Yamaha machinery for the last five seasons.

For Perie it’s a return to the series following a 2021 season which saw him claim podiums and wins with immediate effect. An early championship contender, Perie then suffered setbacks throughout the year which resulted in him dropping down to fourth overall.

"I know lots of people say this but I’ve never felt better prepared going into a race season," added Perie. "I learned so much (last year), good and bad but couldn’t do much to change things as we were racing pretty much every weekend.

"Now I’ve got two new mechanics, a year of experience and for the first time ever I’m going testing, I can’t wait! This season the objective is clear and I feel confident we can go for wins again and push for the title."

Truelove, the more experienced of the two at Supersport level, also claimed three wins last season en route to a fifth place finish in the championship. 2022 will be his first season with the team.

Truelove said: "It feels good to be joining the team, they have a great set-up and long pedigree. We’ve always run a team ourselves but want to step it up in terms of professionalism which is what Appleyard Macadam provides.

"The wins showed me that we can be up there and my goal is to fight for the championship, it just takes a lot of hard work and a little luck!"
