Daniel Ricciardo has revealed a bright new helmet design for the upcoming 2019 Formula 1 season.

The Renault driver promised a “funky”, “artistic” concept during pre-season and finally unveiled his striking design in the Melbourne paddock on Thursday ahead of the season-opening Australian Grand Prix.

Having made the switch to the French manufacturer from Red Bull, Ricciardo has been given the freedom to come up with his own design for the first time in his F1 career.

He spent a number of months working with an Australian artist on the design, which consists of blue, green and pink elements, as well as featuring the words 'Stop Being Them' and his race number #3.
