Celestino Vietti wins the Argentine Moto2 Grand Prix at Termas de Rio Hondo, after earlier contact with rookie star Fermin Aldeguer.

Pole qualifier Aldeguer was chasing Vietti in the early stages when the pair collided as Vietti cut back onto the racing line after running slightly wide through the penultimate corner.

The impact sent Aldeguer into a full 36-degree spin before he was pitched from his Speed Up machine.

That left Somkiat Chantra, winner last time in Mandalika, as Vietti's nearest rival. The Thai star briefly took the lead when Vietti again ran wide through the long penultimate corner before the Italian retaliated and built a small buffer.

Chantra's Honda Team Asia team-mate Ai Ogura won a close fight with Aron Canet for the final podium place.

Front row qualifier Augusto Fernandez fell at turn one.
