Tommy Bridewell has pronounced himself pleased with his performance on the World Superbike stage despite enduring a trying race day aboard the Tyco Racing Honda.

British Superbike regulars Quay Garage Honda stepped up to the international stage as a wild-card at Silverstone under the Tyco Racing banner by virtue of a last minute sponsorship deal, but faced an uphill battle from the off.

Nonetheless, having missed out on Superpole, Bridewell was able to edge into the top twenty in both races, even finishing ahead of BSB title contender Ryuichi Kiyonari during the first encounter.

While he didn't score the points he was hoping for, Bridewell enjoyed his weekend as a World Superbike rider and is confident he has learnt plenty to take into the remainder of the BSB season.

"I think it's the hardest I have ever worked at a race meeting in all of my career. We were chasing set up with the front suspension whilst trying to learn a brand new circuit and competing against bikes which were so much faster than ours, so to come away with two top twenty results is fantastic.

"I have to say a massive thanks to both my team and our sponsors, Tyco, and it has been a wonderful experience to have them on board and hopefully we can reward them with a decent result at Brands Hatch.

"Our focus is British Superbikes this year, we have learned so much from this weekend, and hope that will stand us in good stead for a good result next weekend."
