Pastor Maldonado has been handed a 20-second penalty following his collision with Lewis Hamilton on the penultimate lap of the European Grand Prix.

As a result he now slips from tenth place overall in his Williams to twelfth. His misfortune promotes Bruno Senna up into tenth in the sister car, so the Grove-based outfit still scores.

Meanwhile, Kamui Kobayashi had been handed a five-place grid penalty for Silverstone after his coming together with Felipe Massa.

Similarly, Jean-Eric Vergne has also got a grid penalty for the next event following his incident with Heikki Kovalainen. The Frenchman though will drop ten places on the grid. He was also fined 25,000 Euros.
