BMW GoldBet Motorrad manager Andrea Buzzoni has hailed the performance of his rider Chaz Davies following the Welshman's dominant double victory at Motorland Aragon.

In only his second event as a BMW rider, Davies was in imperious form as he qualified on the front-row for the first time in his career before proceeding to reel off two comfortable race wins.

A result that potentially catapults Davies from an outsider into a veritable title contender, his victories also mark the first success for BMW since the decision to align its factory support to the Italian-based, GoldBet-backed Feel Racing team over the winter.

For Buzzoni, who also witnessed Sylvain Barrier claim victory in the Superstock 1000 class, he feels Davies has demonstrated that he can be one of the year's main contenders.

"It was an extraordinary weekend. All team members have worked day and night over the last six months to make it possible. The guys in Munich and Bologna are extremely committed and this is the perfect reward for them. These results show their passion and show the amount of responsibility they put into their jobs.

"Chaz has impressively shown his talent with two perfect races today. He demonstrated that he was a mature rider and to be ready to be one of the season's main contenders. We trust him and he proves to be an excellent rider and person. "
