The event may still be a few months away, but Sauber F1 test driver Giedo van der Garde has confirmed that he will make his Goodwood Revival debut this year.

The Dutchman, who raced for Caterham in the top flight last season before switching camps to take up the reserve role at Sauber for 2014, has been a regular visitor to Goodwood's sister event, appearing at the Festival of Speed in 2012 and 2013, but has now revealed that he will share an AC Cobra with regular Revival frontrunner David Hart in the RAC Tourist Trophy Celebration Race for closed-cockpit cars of 1960-64 vintage.

Between now and then, van der Garde will hope to have made a few more Friday free practice appearances for Sauber, having driven on a couple of occasions so far in 2014, as he looks to return to a full-time race seat next year.

Meanwhile, Hart, who owns the Cobra, returns to Goodwood with unfinished business to attend to. Not only is he racing the Cobra, he is also driving a Lola T70 Spyder in the Whitsun Trophy for monstrous sports-racing prototypes synonymous with the early days of Can-Am.
