Fernando Alonso set the pace in first practice on F1's return to Suzuka for the Japanese Grand Prix.
Heavy rain fell ahead of FP1 meaning it was a slow start to the session.
However, it wasn't too long of a wait before all of the teams took to the track to gather crucial data for race day, which could be wet.
Alonso ended the session on top ahead of Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc.
