Ducati has formally confirmed that Yonny Hernandez will remain with the Pramac team into the 2015 MotoGP World Championship riding the current specification Ducati GP14.2.

After a handful of outings in the latter stages of 2013, Hernandez was granted a full season with Pramac Ducati in 2014 aboard last year's GP13 and has proceeded to score in most races this season, peaking with a career-best seventh place last time out in Sepang.

Though the Colombian's continuation with Pramac Ducati was always anticipated, the formal announcement reveals he is now contracted directly to Ducati whilst confirming he will ride an updated GP14.2 next year (when the factory team will debut the GP15). His 2015 contract also comes with an option for 2016.

Hernandez will get his first trial on the GP14.2, which is currently being ridden by Andrea Iannone and Andrea Dovizioso, at the post-season Valencia tests.

With Iannone progressing to the official factory team in 2015 alongside Dovizioso, Hernandez will be joined in the satellite Pramac outfit by Danilo Petrucci.
