Isle of Man TT hit by poor weather with Thursday qualifying canned

Following the cancellation of Thursday’s rescheduled afternoon qualifying session, the bad weather conditions have returned at the Isle of Man TT which has also seen the evening qualifying session called off.

After a washout on Wednesday, which preceded three sessions also canned due to rain and poor visibility, both of Thursday’s sessions have been lost due to rain showers across the TT course.

Following the cancellation of Thursday’s rescheduled afternoon qualifying session, the bad weather conditions have returned at the Isle of Man TT which has also seen the evening qualifying session called off.

After a washout on Wednesday, which preceded three sessions also canned due to rain and poor visibility, both of Thursday’s sessions have been lost due to rain showers across the TT course.

A new schedule for Friday sees an afternoon and an evening session put in place by Isle of Man TT organisers in a bid to make up for lost session time, with the last running taking place on Tuesday evening when Dean Harrison topped both the Superbike (129.53mph) and Superstock (129.34mph) categories for Silicone Engineering Kawasaki.

The decision to call off Thursday’s evening session was made by Clerk of the Course Gary Thompson at around 17:45 – 35 minutes before the start of the first session.
