Results: Valentino Rossi's best looking MotoGP bike

Shortly after the unveiling of Valentino Rossi's 2012 Ducati Desmosedici MotoGP race livery, we asked you to vote on which you think has been the Italian's best looking premier-class race bike.

This year's Ducati is Rossi's 13th machine in the premier-class, spanning three different manufacturers and six different title sponsors.

The top two places in the poll went to Fiat Yamaha bikes, with the 2009 edition (pictured) - with which seven time MotoGP champion Rossi took his most recent title - just edging out the following 2010 version by an average of 0.05 out of 10.

The 2012 Ducati livery got a positive response with third - and only 0.16 from the top - compared with the 2011 Desmosedici, which you ranked sixth, behind the two other Fiat-backed Yamahas.

You voted Rossi's best looking Honda as being the 2003 Repsol RC211V in seventh place, on 6.833 out of ten, while the least popular in terms of looks were The Doctor's NSR500 bikes, used during his two years of 500cc.

All of Rossi's bikes were shown in their 'official' liveries, special one-off colours were not included in the poll.

Almost 27,000 votes were cast.
